Frequently Asked Questions
|
1. ANSWER:
NO. We do
not charge for most common type of events. Usually the Set-up
only takes about an hour to two or less. Sometimes, there may be
a charge for really large events where it may take many hours to
set-up all the extra lights and equipment. But 99.9% of the
shows will NOT have a Set-up Fee.

2. ANSWER
For most events like Weddings and Holiday Parties, the Set-up is
only one to two hour or less. This would be for a group of up to
300 people. For very large events where more equipment
(lighting, speaker and cables) is required, more time is
required.

3. ANSWER
A dress shirt & tie is standard for most events. Sometimes, at
the clients request, special "theme costumes" are appropriate.
Other times, the attire is more casual to fit the type of event.
Ask your Entertainer if you require special attire.

4. ANSWER
You can select all the music for the Entertainer to play if you
wish. However, your Entertainer is
VERY experienced and knowledgeable in many
different areas of music. He/She has learned what people
typically like to dance to and which songs they will enjoy. His
expertise will play greatly in the final play list to keep the
party moving and people enjoying themselves all night.

7. ANSWER
This can be done without any problems. We work for you and are
under your control. We will accommodate as many of your requests
as possible. This is part of the information we collect from the
client during the event planning stages. You just have to ask.

8. ANSWER
As with all event planning, the sooner the better. Most popular
dates book early and in some cases, this can be up to one year
in advance. Book early to get what you want. Waiting till the
last minute may be disappointing.

9. ANSWER
NO. In
most cases there is no additional charge unless the event is
outside the immediate South East Texas area. There are some
locations that we would require accommodations for the evening.
A travel charge is calculated based on mileage to and from our
offices as reported by Microsoft Streets and Trips. Please
contact us for more information.

10. ANSWER
ABSOLUTELY.
As long as the guests selection fits the event and we have that
selection, we will attempt to play it. We cannot guarantee all
requests will be played.. We generally carry about enough titles
to cover 99% of all the songs requested. By using the supplied
Planning Sheets, you will be assured that the Entertainer will
have those selections on hand.

ANSWER
NO.
Good music doesn't have to be loud. Our policy is: We rather
have you ask us to turn it up than turn it down. The volume of
the background music will be kept to a comfortable level so the
guests can converse easily without shouting. Once the dancing
starts, the level will be increased to the right level. Our
systems can accommodate large and small venues.

12. ANSWER
We are very flexible and will make any adjustment to the
starting time as long as it will not interfere with other
commitments. We understand that as the event planning
progresses, things do change. We can alter our schedule
somewhat, as we only book one event per day. This allows us the
most flexibility possible for our clients.

14. ANSWER
No Problem.
Even the best equipment can fail. To insure a continuation of
the show, we maintain "back-up equipment". It will only take a
few moments to switch to the "back-up system" so you will only
notice a small or no glitch in the action.

20. ANSWER
We generally do not allow guests to view us at
an event. The reason for this is simple, we are hired by a
client to provide them with a service that requires our total
focus on their event, and if you hire us you will be treated
with the same respect.

21. ANSWER
No.You are
not required to give the DJ a meal. However, if one is offered,
the DJ may partake if time is available and it will not
interfere with his duties. We would ask that at least water is
available for the DJ. The DJ will not
drink alcoholic beverages or smoke during the show. We do not
believe this provides for a professional appearance.

|
22. ANSWER
No. The DJ
has no scheduled breaks during the show. However, there may be
short periods where there is another activity and the DJ will
not be required to play music. Sometimes there may be other
entertainment or the client may schedule a pause in the music.
In that case the DJ will remain at his station awaiting the
music start time. Once the DJ begins playing, any pauses in time
will not stop the performance clock. |
